M31 on WO Star 71
As usual, stacked with DSS and processed with Startools. Follow the link to astrobin page for acquisition details
before publishing it, I had a long discussion with other Startools users. I discovered that in some circumstances (in short: when you are going to push on saturation) it is better to have a different approach when opening the stacking image: split it in LRGB and then use the LRGB module applying a blur on color pixels
This is a “smartcut” with respect a known technique by Scott Rosen: a Startool version of this technique is described in Startools Layer Module User Notes but I prefer this shortcut.
