What you’ll need
- A dark sky site
- A tripod
- A remote shutter, an intervalometer or a camera with a countdown timer: something to avoid shaking the camera when shooting
- Camera must support

- Bulb mode or exposures up to 10-15 seconds
- Manual focus
- ISO selection
- Manual mode
- Live view mode
- (recommended) Live view LCD screen that flips out from the camera body and rotates
